How the three days unfold
Each day builds on the one before. This is an overview of the arc, not a fixed schedule.
-
Day 1
Defining the Problem
We begin by understanding the impact of betrayal, the patterns of unwanted sexual behavior, and the distress that has developed between you—without minimizing harm or shifting responsibility.
-
Day 2
Creating Stability
Practical work on self-regulation, self-care, and boundaries, so each of you has steadier footing.
-
Day 3
A New Path
Developing a shared vision for the relationship, and practicing trauma-informed ways of responding to and communicating with each other.
Across the three days, the work may include education, group process, and experiential work, grounded in the Becoming Approach.
The content of each day may be adjusted by the clinical team. Three days can be a meaningful beginning; they cannot promise a particular outcome for any couple or relationship.

Jennifer Atkinson, LMFT, CPTT

Together, Kyle and Jennifer bring both sides of the work into the room: recovery from unwanted sexual behavior and care for the betrayed partner. They lead the intensive with their team, which includes CSAT-trained and certified clinicians experienced with both sex addiction and betrayal.

You send a short application
It takes about five minutes. Short answers are fine.
Our clinical team reviews it
A clinician reads every application. Nothing is decided automatically.
We talk with each of you privately

You reserve your place
If the intensive is a good fit, we offer you a place, and a $1,000 deposit reserves it.
Questions couples ask
Where does the intensive take place?
In person, at our Murray office: 5295 S Commerce Dr. Suite 525, Murray, UT 84107.
How much does it cost?
$3,700 per couple. That includes a private conversation with each partner beforehand, the three days, materials, and an aftercare plan.
A $1,000 non-refundable deposit reserves your place once it is offered and counts toward the total. The balance is due 14 days before the intensive begins.
What if we need to change our dates?
With at least 14 days’ notice, you can move to a later intensive, and your deposit moves with you. Within 14 days of the start date, the fee is non-refundable.
Can we use insurance?
The intensive is self-pay. We can provide a superbill on request for you to submit to your insurance; whether it is covered depends on your plan.
Are lodging and meals included?
No. Travel, lodging, and meals are not included. Couples coming from out of town arrange their own stay near our Murray office.
Whose name will be on paperwork and billing?
The Becoming Institute for Sexual Health is a division of Connections Counseling Services. Intake paperwork, the client portal, and billing come from Connections Counseling Services, so you will see that name there.
When are the upcoming intensives?
November 17–19, 2026, and December 8–10, 2026. Each intensive runs for three consecutive days, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
Does applying guarantee a place?
No. Applying does not reserve or guarantee a place. Our clinical team reviews each application and follows up to talk about fit and next steps.
Do we need to know whether we are staying together?
No. Couples arrive with different levels of hope, trust, and certainty. The intensive does not ask either of you to forgive, reconcile, or decide about the future of your relationship.
What if one of us is not ready?
Each partner should be choosing to come for themselves. If one of you is not ready, that matters, and it is something we would talk through with you. Support for a betrayed partner, or for the partner working on their sexual behavior, is also available on its own.
Is this an emergency or crisis service?
No. The intensive, this website, and the application are not monitored for emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
