Why group work helps
Secrecy and shame grow in isolation. In a small, confidential group, people find that others understand what they are facing, and honesty becomes easier to practice.
Groups work well on their own or alongside individual or couples therapy. We can help you decide what fits.
Sex addiction recovery groups
For men working to change unwanted sexual behavior or compulsive sexual patterns.
Weekly, 90 minutes, with about 6 to 10 members.

Four phases, at your own pace
The groups follow the Becoming Approach. Each phase pairs a set of the 30 Carnes Recovery Tasks with three of the 12 dimensions of healthy sexuality, and each member moves through the phases at their own pace with their facilitator.
Vision of Hope
Tasks 1–7, with Nurturing, Sensual Awareness, and Self-Image.
Reconciliation
Tasks 8–13, with Self-Definition, Openness, and Sexual Renewal.
Commitment
Tasks 14–19, with Relationships, Partnership, and Non-Genital Intimacy.
Becoming
Tasks 20–30, with Genital Intimacy, Spirituality, and Passion.
Betrayal trauma groups for women
For women affected by a partner’s sexual behavior. These groups focus on your own healing, whatever you decide about your relationship.
Step 1: 12-week women’s group
A closed group that starts and finishes together, covering what betrayal trauma is and how to begin feeling safe again. A new group opens once enough women sign up. Get in touch to join the waitlist.
Step 2: Ongoing women’s group
Continued support with other women who understand, including work on boundaries and the emotions that follow discovery. Stay as long as it helps.

Good to know
- Each group is led by a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) or a therapist working under CSAT supervision. All groups are supervised by Kyle Reid, LMFT, CSAT-S.
- Groups are paid directly. Insurance does not cover group therapy.
- Group workbooks and materials are bought separately and are not included in the monthly fee.
